Scope and Contents Hiester recalls experience as student sent by Caspar Wistar to Germantown to report on outbreak of yellow fever among several families there, circa 1805. Letter describes physical situation of Germantown and location of houses of infected families.

Scope and Contents Document, circa 1797, written in hand of Benjamin Duffield, listing twenty-one physicians who are members of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Reverse contains list, written in hand of Caspar Wistar, of twelve physicians who are not members of the College. Internal evidence indicates list compiled after William Annan became a member, June 1796, and before his death on 4 Oct. 1797.

Scope and Contents This small collection contains personal letters, 1827-1859, one from Caspar Wistar, the others received by him from family members, and two undated poems. The undated letter from Wistar to [Caspar?] Morris describes the concern Wistar feels for his brother's failing eyesight, while the letter from S. M.
